About Summit Tractors
The brand behind the machine

Summit Tractors was founded in Georgia by a U.S. Air Force veteran who set out to build the most fully-loaded compact tractor program in the market — sold through major retailers. That veteran still leads Summit's U.S. operations today.

International Tractors Limited (ITL) — the world's 5th largest tractor manufacturer — acquired the Summit brand. ITL brings world-class engineering and manufacturing scale. Summit brings deep U.S. market knowledge and retail expertise. These are not rebadged tractors — ITL manufactures the TX25H and LX85 loader specifically for Summit. The BHX76 backhoe, tires, wheels, and attachments are made in the USA.

A veteran-founded, U.S.-led brand backed by a world-class manufacturer — built from day one for the retailer you trust.

Standard Features — What They Are & Why They Matter
Every feature below comes standard on the Summit TX25H — no add-ons, no upgrades, no extra cost
SSQA — Skid Steer Quick Attach (Self-Leveling Loader)
Connects any skid steer-compatible attachment instantly, no tools. The self-leveling feature automatically keeps the loader bucket level as you raise and lower the boom — no spilling. On most competitors, both are paid add-ons. On the TX25H, both are standard.
"You can switch from a grapple to forks to a bucket in under 60 seconds — no tools, no pins, no hassle."
3rd Function Hydraulics
A third independent hydraulic circuit at the front of the loader — powers grapple open/close, hydraulic blade angle, and more. Without 3rd function, a grapple is dead weight. On most competing tractors, 3rd function costs $1,500–$2,500 extra. On the TX25H, it's standard on both configurations.
"The grapple works because of the 3rd function. Other brands charge extra for this. It's already on yours."
Rear Hydraulic Remotes
Hydraulic couplers at the rear that power implements like the BHX76 backhoe, hydraulic tilt blades, and log splitters. Without rear remotes, you're limited to basic 3-point implements. On most competitors, rear remotes are a paid option. On the TX25H, they're standard.
RimGuard® Liquid Ballast (Rear Tires)
Beet-juice based liquid ballast pre-filled into the rear tires at the factory — adds 250–400 lbs. of counterweight at the lowest possible point. Improves rear traction, slope stability, and tip resistance. Non-corrosive, non-toxic, freeze-resistant. Factory standard on the TX25H.
Goodyear All-Condition R14T Tires (Made in USA)
Premium agricultural tires engineered for mixed-terrain use across grass, dirt, gravel, and wet conditions. Gentle on turf, excellent traction in soft ground. Not the budget tires found on many other tractor brands.
Hydrostatic Transmission (HST) with Twin Touch Pedals
No clutch pedal. Press forward to go forward — press back to reverse. Speed controlled by pedal pressure. Dramatically easier than gear-drive tractors, especially for new operators or anyone doing repetitive loader work.
"No clutch pedal, no gear shifting. Anyone in the family can run this tractor."
4WD (Four-Wheel Drive) with Differential Lock
All four wheels drive simultaneously for superior traction in mud, loose soil, and wet grass. Differential lock forces both rear wheels to rotate at the same speed — keeps the tractor moving when one wheel loses traction. Many competing tractors at this price are 2WD or charge extra for 4WD.
Electronic Cruise Control
Set your speed and the tractor maintains it without holding the pedal. Especially valuable for finish mowers, rotary tillers, seeders, and spreaders where consistent ground speed matters. Standard on the TX25H.
"Set it and forget the pedal. When you're mowing 5 acres, that matters."
Premium High-Back Suspension Seat with Folding Armrests
Suspension absorbs vibration and shock from rough terrain, reducing operator fatigue during long work sessions. High back provides lumbar support. Budget tractors at this price point typically include a basic foam seat with no suspension.
Projector Headlamps
Bright, focused forward lighting for working before sunrise or after sunset. Wide, even beam pattern with sharp cutoff. Snow season doesn't care what time it gets dark. Standard on the TX25H.
12V Power Outlet, Toolbox & 7-Pin Trailer Connector
12V outlet for phones, tablets, or sprayer controllers. Built-in toolbox — tools always at the machine. 7-pin trailer connector for lights, electric brakes, and brake controllers. All three are standard on the TX25H.
Category 1 Three-Point Hitch (1,455 lb. lift capacity)
The universal rear attachment system for compact tractors worldwide. Two lower lift arms and a top link — covers the vast majority of available attachments. The TX25H lifts 1,455 lbs., significantly more than many competitors in this class.
Compact Tractor Terminology — Plain English
Every term you might encounter explained simply
PTO — Power Take-Off
A rotating shaft at the rear of the tractor that spins at 540 RPM and transfers engine power to implements requiring rotation — rotary cutters, tillers, finish mowers, seeders, and spreaders. The TX25H has an independent PTO — can be engaged/disengaged without stopping the tractor.
HST — Hydrostatic Transmission
Uses hydraulic fluid instead of mechanical gears. Infinite speed control in both directions, no clutch pedal, smooth control in tight spaces. Press forward to go forward, press back to reverse. The TX25H uses a two-range HST: Lo range for precision work, Hi range for travel and field work.
4WD — Four-Wheel Drive (MFWD)
Power delivered to all four wheels simultaneously. Dramatically improves traction in mud, on slopes, or in loose soil. The TX25H is full 4WD. Can be disengaged on firm, flat ground to reduce tire wear.
Differential Lock (Diff Lock)
Forces both rear wheels to rotate at exactly the same speed, eliminating wheel spin when one wheel loses traction. Engage before entering soft ground. Disengage when turning to avoid drivetrain stress.
ROPS — Rollover Protection Structure
The metal roll bar that prevents the machine from crushing the operator if the tractor tips over. The TX25H includes a folding ROPS — can be lowered for low-clearance areas, raised for slope work. Always raise and lock the ROPS before working on any incline.
Three-Point Hitch (3PH)
The universal rear implement attachment system — the global standard for agricultural tractors. Two lower lift arms and a top link form a triangle. Implements attach to these three points and the hydraulic system raises/lowers them. The TX25H uses Category 1, covering the vast majority of compact tractor attachments.
Front-End Loader (FEL)
The boom, arms, and bucket assembly on the front of the tractor. The LX85 on the TX25H lifts up to 1,102 lbs. and reaches 83 inches high. Operated with a single joystick. SSQA coupler allows tool-free attachment changes between bucket, grapple, pallet forks, and more.
Gross HP vs. PTO HP
Gross HP is total engine output at the crankshaft. PTO HP is the power available at the PTO shaft after drivetrain losses — typically 15–25% less than gross HP. Always compare PTO HP across brands, never gross HP. The TX25H: 24.7 gross HP / 18.5 PTO HP.
EPA Tier 4 Final Emissions
The current EPA emissions standard for off-road diesel engines. Means better fuel economy, less visible exhaust smoke, and full U.S. regulatory compliance. The TX25H Mitsubishi engine meets Tier 4 Final.
Hydraulic Flow (GPM)
Measures how much hydraulic fluid the pump moves per minute. Higher GPM = faster, more responsive hydraulic functions. The TX25H delivers 8.8 GPM — toward the high end for this horsepower class.
Breakout Force (Loader)
The maximum force a loader can exert at the bucket cutting edge when curling — how hard it can dig into compacted material. The TX25H LX85 has a breakout force of 1,763 lbs., higher than most competing loaders in the sub-25HP class.
Ballast
Weight added to improve traction, stability, and counterbalance. Without enough rear ballast, a loaded front-end loader can lift the rear tires. The TX25H comes factory-filled with RimGuard liquid ballast in the rear tires — 250–400 lbs. of counterweight at the lowest point on the machine.
Attachments & Implements — What Each One Does
Every Summit attachment at The Home Depot explained — what it does, what jobs it handles, who needs it
GX54 SSQA Grapple
Replaces the loader bucket with a hydraulically-operated clamping jaw. Grabs and moves brush, logs, rocks, debris, hay bales — anything that won't stay in a bucket. Mounts via SSQA, runs off 3rd function hydraulics (standard on TX25H). The single most versatile loader attachment available.
Best for: Land clearing, brush removal, log handling, rock moving, construction cleanup.
BBX60 Box Blade (60")
Steel box-shaped frame with a rear cutting edge and internal scarifier. Works forward and reverse — scarifier breaks up hard-packed ground, box catches and levels material. Go-to tool for gravel driveway maintenance, road grading, site preparation, and finish leveling.
Best for: Gravel driveways, road grading, leveling, yard prep.
BPX60 BoxPlane — Box Blade & Land Plane Combo (60")
Combines a box blade and land plane in one implement. The long flat plate creates more precise level finish than a box blade alone. Best choice for creating truly level, smooth surfaces — food plots, pastures, yards, structures.
Best for: Precision leveling, food plot prep, pasture smoothing, high-quality finish grading.
RBX60 Rear Blade (60")
Single straight steel blade on the Category 1 hitch, angles left or right. Effective for basic driveway grading, clearing light snow, spreading material, and simple leveling. Not as precise as a box blade for heavy grading but faster for light maintenance work.
Best for: Light gravel maintenance, spreading material, basic leveling.
LPX54 Land Plane (54")
Long flat bottom plate cuts high spots, re-distributes material, and leaves a smooth level surface. More accurate than a box blade for large flat surfaces — the length averages out small bumps instead of following them.
Best for: Large flat areas, food plots, leveling paddocks, smooth-finish grading.
LRX60 Landscape Rake (60")
Curved steel tine bar that collects rocks, debris, and root material while allowing fine soil to pass through. Standard finish tool after grading or tilling — cleans the seedbed and creates the final level surface before seeding.
Best for: Rock removal, seedbed finishing, lawn prep, gravel cleanup.
AFDHX60 Angle Frame Disc Harrow (60")
Series of concave steel discs that cut, break up, and mix soil. Adjustable gang angle controls aggressiveness. Used to break up compacted soil, incorporate crop residue, and prepare a seedbed. More aggressive than a tiller on hard ground.
Best for: Breaking sod, secondary tillage, seedbed preparation on tough ground.
RTLRX48 Rotary Tiller (48")
PTO-driven tines spin rapidly and churn soil, breaking it into a fine, loose, uniform seedbed. Primary soil preparation tool for vegetable gardens, food plots, and any area where a fine planting surface is needed. Requires 18.5 PTO HP — which the TX25H provides.
Best for: Garden beds, food plots, seedbed prep, breaking new ground.
FMX60 3-Point Finish Mower (60")
Rear-mounted PTO-driven mowing deck that produces a clean, manicured cut on maintained grass — lawn mower quality from a tractor. Multiple blades in a floating deck. For large lawns, pasture trim, and maintained turf where appearance matters.
Best for: Large lawns, maintained pastures, orchards, roadside grass.
RCX48 Rotary Cutter / Bush Hog (48")
Heavy-duty PTO-driven implement for cutting brush, saplings, weeds, briars, and tall grass. Free-swinging blade deflects off rocks without drivetrain damage. The most common tractor attachment sold.
Best for: Clearing brush, cutting fence lines, rough pastures, saplings and tall weeds.
PFX42 SSQA Pallet Forks
Replace the loader bucket with two steel tines for lifting pallets, hay bales, pipe, lumber, and packaged loads. Mounts via SSQA — no tools. Adjustable tine spacing. With Summit's SSQA loader, switching from bucket to forks takes under a minute. Rated 1,500 lbs.
Best for: Moving pallets, hay bales, lumber, round bales.
HSBX66 Hydraulic Snow Blade (66")
Front-mount SSQA hydraulic angle snow blade. Blade angle controlled from the seat via 3rd function. Urethane cutting edge protects asphalt and concrete. Most productive snow removal option for long driveways or commercial lots. Requires 3rd function — standard on TX25H.
Best for: Long driveways, parking lots, commercial lot snow clearing.
SBX60 Front-Mount Snow Blower (60")
PTO and hydraulic-driven two-stage snow blower. Front auger feeds snow into impeller, throws it up to 40 feet through a hydraulically-controlled chute. Two-stage design handles packed, heavy, or deep snow a blade can't move.
Best for: High snowfall areas, long driveways, heavy packed snow.
SPX60 Snow Pusher with Drag Kit (60")
Loader-mounted box-style blade with closed sides that contains snow as it pushes. Drag kit back-drags snow away from garage doors and buildings. More efficient than an open blade for clearing large flat areas.
Best for: Parking lots, large flat driveways, clearing in front of buildings.
SSX500-HDDS Seeder / Spreader (500 lb.)
PTO-driven 3-point hitch broadcast seeder and spreader. Distributes seed, fertilizer, lime, sand, and granular materials in a wide pattern. 500 lb. hopper capacity — fewer refill stops on large properties.
Best for: Seeding pastures, food plots, spreading fertilizer/lime.
SSX1 Sub-Soiler
Single shank that penetrates 12–18" deep to break up hardpan — a compacted layer below normal tillage depth that prevents water infiltration and restricts root growth. Use before tilling in areas with known compaction.
Best for: Hardpan breaking, improving drainage, deep soil preparation.
DTX1.5 Hydraulic Dump Trailer (1.5 Ton)
3,000 lb. capacity hydraulic dump trailer. Dump bed raised by tractor's rear hydraulic remotes — no separate pump. Haul and dump gravel, soil, compost, manure, brush around the property without manual unloading.
Best for: Hauling and dumping gravel, soil, compost, brush.
ICX50 SSQA Implement Carrier
Loader-mounted flat platform that allows smaller implements, tanks, and spray equipment to be carried on the front loader. Mounts via SSQA — swaps on and off in seconds.
Best for: Front-mounting sprayers, tanks, custom implements.
BPX1 Boom Pole
Category 1 hitch implement with a chain or hook at the end — makes the 3-point hitch a compact tractor crane. Lift engines, equipment, large stumps, rocks, and anything needing precise lift and positioning.
Best for: Lifting engines, rocks, stumps, heavy pipe and equipment.
CAX1 Carry-All
Category 1 hitch flat platform or basket. Rear cargo-carrying platform — tools, fencing supplies, feed bags, water, hay. 3-point hitch raises for travel, lowers for easy loading. Simple, durable, one of the most-used utility attachments on any property.
Best for: Carrying tools, supplies, bags, materials around the property.
QHX1 Category 1 Quick Hitch
Mounts permanently to the 3-point hitch and allows most implements to attach and detach without getting off the tractor. Back up to the implement, lower the hitch, latch — done. Significantly reduces implement change time.
Best for: Anyone who switches implements frequently.
TMX1 Trailer Mover
3-point hitch implement with a 2" ball hitch that lets the tractor push and maneuver trailers in tight spaces — barns, between buildings, against walls. Raises slightly with the 3-point hitch to position trailers precisely.
Best for: Maneuvering trailers in tight or soft-ground spaces.
MBX1 Middle Buster
V-shaped bottom that splits soil and throws it to both sides simultaneously, creating a furrow and raised ridges. Used for planting rows for potatoes and root vegetables, and building drainage furrows.
Best for: Creating planting rows for potatoes, root vegetables.
BHX76 Backhoe Accessories
The BHX76 backhoe (included in the Tractor Loader Backhoe model) comes standard with a 12" digging bucket. Optional accessories: BHBX8 8" Bucket — narrow trenching for utility lines, irrigation, fence posts. BHBX16 16" Bucket — wider for moving more per dig cycle. BHSPX1 Street Pads — rubber pads protecting concrete, asphalt, and pavers from the steel stabilizer feet.
Best for: Configuring the backhoe for the specific job at hand.

Why Summit?

More Standard Features. Better Warranty. Better Value.

Compare Summit to any other compact tractor at this price point. More is standard on the TX25H than any competing machine — and the warranty backs it up.

What Makes the Summit TX25H Different
Features that come standard — that competitors charge extra for or simply don't offer
  • SSQA Self-Leveling Loader — Standard. On most competitors, self-leveling and SSQA quick attach are $1,000–$2,000 add-ons. On the TX25H, both are standard on every configuration.
  • 3rd Function Hydraulics — Standard. Powers the grapple open/close, hydraulic angle blades, and more. Most competing tractors charge $1,500–$2,500 extra. Standard on both TX25H configurations.
  • Rear Hydraulic Remotes — Standard. Powers the backhoe, hydraulic tilt blades, and other rear implements requiring hydraulic actuation. An add-on on most comparable tractors.
  • RimGuard® Liquid Ballast in Rear Tires — Factory Standard. 250–400 lbs. of rear counterweight at the lowest point on the machine. Most brands leave this to the customer to add aftermarket.
  • Goodyear R14T All-Condition Tires, Made in USA — Standard. Premium agricultural tires, not budget tires. Designed for mixed terrain — gentle on turf, excellent traction in soft ground.
  • Electronic Cruise Control — Standard. Set speed for mowing, tilling, and spreading. Not standard on most competing tractors at this price point.
  • Premium Suspension Seat with Folding Armrests — Standard. Most budget tractors at this price include a basic foam seat. The TX25H suspension seat is engineered for all-day operator comfort.
  • Full 4WD + Differential Lock — Standard. The traction and power to work in all conditions. The TX25H is full 4WD with diff lock, standard.
  • Projector Headlamps — Standard. Work before sunrise and after sunset. Snow season doesn't care what time it gets dark.
  • 12V Outlet, Toolbox & 7-Pin Trailer Connector — Standard. Practical, everyday utility that most competing tractors don't include.

Tractor 101

Everything You Need to Know. Plain English.

Standard features explained, compact tractor terminology defined, and every attachment described — so you can shop and buy with confidence.
