The manufacturer of Summit brand tractors and owner of the Summit Tractors brand is International Tractors Limited (ITL). ITL is the world's 5th largest tractor manufacturer, distributing its tractors to over 150 countries worldwide. With a workforce of over 5,500, including 400 engineers, ITL features the world's largest integrated tractor factory.
Tractors made in India are no stranger to the U.S. compact tractor market, and you can include Japan and Korea as the three primary sources of manufacturing for under-60hp tractors sold in the U.S. No under 60HP brand can claim Made in USA, but Summit partners with U.S. manufacturers for backhoes, tractor attachments and Goodyear tire & wheels, and final tractor assembly takes place right here in America.
ITL is accredited with international certificates including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO TS 16949. Achievement of these certifications comes only when meeting the most rigorous design and manufacturing quality standards.

Summit Tractors was founded in 2020 by Doug Rehor, a long-time tractor industry and U.S. Air Force veteran, with a new vision for how compact tractors and related equipment are designed, where they are sold, financed, and serviced.
Summit brand tractors have always been manufactured by ITL. After Doug brought the brand to market and established its network of leading farm & ranch and home improvement retailers, Doug and ITL joined forces to better serve retailer customers and tractor owners. Now, ITL is not only the manufacturer of Summit brand tractors — they are also the owner and distributor of the Summit Tractors brand.
Many other compact tractor brands are manufactured by a 3rd-party manufacturer — not with Summit Tractors. We make our own tractors. Summit's founder remains, and the U.S. team continues to lead all commercial operations.
